One of my favorite times to enjoy an acaí bowl is after a long run. It's just the thing to bring refreshment, hydration, and some good protein to refuel my body. I can't tell you how happy that makes me feel! So keeping those things in mind, I made sure to load this acaí bowl with some serious nutrients.
The cashew butter, grass-fed gelatin, hemp seeds, and bee pollen are the protein givers here. And it is topped with my Acaí Coconut Granola which has a nice protein count as well. The variety of berries brings some quality antioxidants to the table and of course the infamous Acaí Superfruit Packs join in on the antioxidants along with some healthy omegas. It's a definite party here!
2 Acaí Superfruit Packs (I prefer unsweetened)
1 frozen banana
1/2 frozen organic blueberries
1 Tbs cashew butter
1 Tbs grass-fed gelatin (green label)
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 Tbs hemp seeds
1. Place all the smoothie bowl ingredients in your high speed blender and blend on high until smooth. It was be nice and thick, almost like a soft serve ice cream. You can add more coconut milk if you want a thinner consistency.
2. Then pour your smoothie into a bowl and top with the granola, sliced banana, bee pollen, and goji berries. Makes one bowl. Now dig in and be prepared to be addicted!
